My 3 and 6 year olds LOVE IT!!!
Both my kids love creepy, scary, halloween centric themed things and both love this game. Enough interaction to keep them entertained. Personally as an artist and a picky app buyer, I found the amount of interactive play to be perfect enough. The characters do not move, which is NOT what defines “interactive” as some people seem to be confused about and rating the app on the characters moving around or not… and rating it poorly for that.
This is an interactive storybook, not an interactive game/cartoon. Each page (for the most part) has a number of touch points on the page for your child to click around and enjoy “cut and paste style actions” with fun sounds, peek-a-boo, hide-and-seek characters, etc... while a narration ALSO kicks in the storyline… in addition, there are some mini-games included if your child so chooses to play them, my 3-year old doens’t yet understand the concept of the games, however she still enjoys clicking around the scenes.
After purchasing on my mac I bought it for the iPad as well.
Personally, the key to less frustration for your child is buying an extra mouse - specifically made for small hands. I bought a travel usb mouse for my kids to plug in and slowed the tracking speed down (for my 3yr old).
GREAT JOB DEVELOPERS >> I LOOK FORWARD TO FUTURE PURCHASES. :) It would be fun to see Holiday updates (even minimal)… I like it when storybooks continue to update by adding a fun thing for season or holiday that would keep my kids coming back after owning for a while.
Totally happy and totally recommended!
