Amelia and Terror of the Night App Reviews

8 Customer Reviews:

Great Story, Very Easy to navigate. Full of Fun Surprises and Creatures, even turning the pages of the book is Fun. I thought it was a little short for the price, though the story was nicely completed. Good entertainment children, regardless of their reading ability. Lots of thoughtful details on every page. I recommend it to kids of all ages.

Awesome! Fun and original!

A fantastic use of interactive storytelling, with a very interesting cast of characters and beautifully hand drawn backgrounds. Buy it :)

My six year old was captivated. She has been bored with other apps like this in the past and didnt even finish them. May be a little bit frightening to younger viewers for only a small part of the story that lasted a couple mins. Its funny, cute, scarry, loveable, and much more. I thought it well worth the price. BTW Im still lauging at the Raccoon with the gutair. Good Job.. Hope we see more like this one!!!

Art is great but there is very little interactivity so you should really just expect a book with a few animations and low level interaction with no thinking puzzles, etc. The theme of taking souls is pretty hard core yet the story is very juvenile so Catch 22 in that younger children could be scared and older children could be bored.

My son likes this app but cant reach all the stars. He tried, I tried, he will never play the bonus level. If that was the point, Oh Noo! studio, you are sick people.

Cute

Cute, but not worth the money. I would have rather paid $.99 rather than 2.99.

Both my kids love creepy, scary, halloween centric themed things and both love this game. Enough interaction to keep them entertained. Personally as an artist and a picky app buyer, I found the amount of interactive play to be perfect enough. The characters do not move, which is NOT what defines “interactive” as some people seem to be confused about and rating the app on the characters moving around or not… and rating it poorly for that. This is an interactive storybook, not an interactive game/cartoon. Each page (for the most part) has a number of touch points on the page for your child to click around and enjoy “cut and paste style actions” with fun sounds, peek-a-boo, hide-and-seek characters, etc... while a narration ALSO kicks in the storyline… in addition, there are some mini-games included if your child so chooses to play them, my 3-year old doens’t yet understand the concept of the games, however she still enjoys clicking around the scenes. After purchasing on my mac I bought it for the iPad as well. Personally, the key to less frustration for your child is buying an extra mouse - specifically made for small hands. I bought a travel usb mouse for my kids to plug in and slowed the tracking speed down (for my 3yr old). GREAT JOB DEVELOPERS >> I LOOK FORWARD TO FUTURE PURCHASES. :) It would be fun to see Holiday updates (even minimal)… I like it when storybooks continue to update by adding a fun thing for season or holiday that would keep my kids coming back after owning for a while. Totally happy and totally recommended!

Too old too young
